HP doesn't care if you buy an inkjet or a laser printer as long as you buy an HP-branded inkjet or laser printer. But if you're thinking about buying a laser printer from some other company, HP wants you to know that its new OfficeJet Pro 8500 series will cost you half as much and offer the same print quality and speed as a laser printer.

The HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 series comes in three models — All-in-One, Wireless All-in-One, and Premier All-in-One. The All-in-One (CB022A) includes a two-line LCD control panel, duplex printing, and a 35-sheet automatic document feeder.

The Wireless model (CB023A) upgrades the control panel to a 3.45-inch color touchscreen LCD, connects via WiFi, holds 50 sheets in its automatic document feeder, includes a legal-size scan glass, and supports Direct Digital Filing.

Finally, the Premier model (CB025A) includes all of the Wireless model's features along with an additional 250-sheet paper tray. You'll also receive some extra goodies like additional Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow inkjet cartridges and HP's In-House Marketing Starter Kit.
