The Canon PIXMA PRO-1 professional inkjet printer redefines print quality and precision. This printer features the new LUCIA 12-ink system which combined with the FINE print head delivers stunning pictures that are very close to the originally captured image. The five monochrome inks deliver dramatic grayscale photo prints and the enhanced black densities deliver a wider range of shades especially in the darker areas of the image.

According to Canon, the PIXMA Pro-1 can deliver an 11" x 14" print in approximately 2 minutes and 55 seconds thereby enhancing productivity. The Optimum Image Generating (OIG) system used in the PIXMA Pro-1 delivers superior balance of color production, tones and uniform glossiness. The Chroma Optimizer controls ink height over the print to maintain the natural integrity of the picture.

The two-way paper feed for standard papers and the dedicated manual feed for easily loading thick paper, ensure a smooth workflow by eliminating wastage due to skewed prints. The large individual ink tanks of the LUCIA system are 2.5 times larger than conventional ink tanks; so you spend less time replacing inks and more time printing.

The PIXMA Pro-1 has the built-in capability to print onto printable DVD, CD and Blu-Ray discs and jackets. It also supports computer-free printing by allowing you to directly plug-in your compatible digital camera, DV camcorder or camera phone. The Easy-PhotoPrint Pro plug-in software is compatible with Digital Photo Professional (ver. 2.1 or later), Adobe® Photoshop® CS, Adobe® Photoshop Elements®, and Adobe® Photoshop® Lightroom®.
