The Canon SELPHY CP800 is a compact, portable, dedicated photo printer. Setting up this printer is quick and easy. You can connect this printer to your computer via the USB interface.

This printer uses dye sublimation technology that involves the use of heat to transfer ink to the paper followed by the application of a clear, quick drying film over the print to give you water resistant and fade resistant photos. The range of 16.8 million colors produces brilliant photos.

You can select and preview the image to be printed on the tilt-up 2.5” color LCD. The photos are automatically corrected for red-eye and the Portrait Image Optimize feature corrects photos where the facial portion appears dark due to strong background lighting. The Shuffle feature allows you to create a collage of your photos by arranging 8 to 20 images per sheet. You can improve the quality of your photo prints by applying one of the following color effects – Black & White, Sepia, Vivid, Neutral and Positive Film.

You do not need a computer to be able to print on this printer. Computer free printing is possible by directly using a memory card, USB flash drive, compatible digital camera, DV camcorder, camera phone or Bluetooth device. With the optional battery mode, you can use this light, compact printer anywhere.
