Océ JetStream 1900 – high-volume, high-productivity, full color duplex digital press

The Océ JetStream 1900 is a high-end product belonging to the Océ JetStream Compact Series full color duplex digital presses. According to the company, the JetStream 1900 delivers 25% more productivity as compared to the other models in the series. The JetStream Compact series is targeted towards production scale printing presses, newspapers, printers of books, magazines, newsletters, graphics arts printers, and other high-volume and high-productivity applications in the print industry.

Considering that a large share of print volume is still black and white, Océ has made this printer configurable so that an organization can start with a dedicated black only solution and then upgrade to MICR, full color and additional colors. The JetStream 1900 uses roll paper feed and can print image widths in the range of 20.3”–54”.

Océ has incorporated the Océ DigiDot® piezoelectric, drop-on-demand technology combined with advanced print head technology to deliver high quality color at high speeds. Multilevel dot modulation has been used to boost printed image quality up to 1200 dpi.

In the optimum performance mode, this printer can deliver print speeds of up to 417 feet/minute (127 meters/minute) with images at 600 x 480 dpi resolution and multilevel dot modulation. In the premium top-quality mode it can deliver up to 1200 dpi perceived image quality at print speeds of 326 feet/minute (100 meters/minute).

The optional Océ PRISMA® software suite provides industry standard workflow management covering all stages from prepress to finishing, along with integration of variable personalization and TransPromo documents into the workflows. TransPromo (Transactional Promotion) documents are transactional documents like bills and statements combined with eye-catching customer facing marketing messages and offers. Océ’s solution helps businesses to extend their TransPromo reach.
