HP Proliant ML350e Gen8 Server Series – high performance combined with flexible deployment options and scalability
By Databazaar Blog
The architecture of the HP Proliant ML350e Gen8 server allows for flexible deployment options as well as scalability. This dual processor tower server is based on Intel’s Xeon E5-2400 processor family which supports up to eight cores per processor. You can start with a single processor and based on the growing demands of your business you can add on another processor, more hard drives and more memory.
This server comes with six PCle expansion slots and ten USB ports; you can increase the memory to up to 192 GB. Hot-plug 3.5” as well 2.5” SATA/SAS drives are supported. You can have a maximum storage of 18 LFF or 24 SFF drives. HP’s Intelligent Provisioning enables a straightforward setup and configuration straight out of the box.
The embedded HP iLO4 (integrated Lights Out 4) simplifies server management and allows for remote operation as well. With HP’s Agentless Management system, you get built-in monitoring and alerts right from the time the server is turned on. The Active Health system provides continuous monitoring so you have a more stable system and therefore, less downtime. With remote management capability and automatic monitoring and alerts, you get big savings on IT support costs.
